Towing Eye Cover

    Getting ready to head off to Silverstone for the 'Classic' motor racing weekend.

    I looked at the plastic cap that covers the towing eye point that I hadn't put back on from 2 weeks ago and thought, not worth putting that back on , I'll only have to take it off again to get on / off the site.

    Am I just getting too pessimistic or is this called experience...

    just blob some copper grease in the thread hole to stop it getting full of road crud.
    plus it will make screwing the eye in easier.

    you could leave the eye screwed in place then you can anchor it down when parked up at home just in case it never stops raining .
    glad i bought a place in the second highest village in cornwall .ha ha .
