Has/ does anyone do the above and if so how?
I dont mean using a motorhome mounted rack but a flange mounted one eg witter z88 or a ball mounted one.
I have just seen a van with 2 towballs mounted one above the other on a 6 inch extension plate.
I have the view to carry upto 2 ebikes.
The roof is impractical and there is only one towbar for rear of the up! With very limited load.
Thanks to all like minded fools.
I am mindful of clashing at full lock, hence question for anyone that actually done it or can forsee other problems

Did once carry toad on a trailer and mounted a bike carrier on the A frame of the trailer. But, as above had to be careful on full lock

Caravan since 1970, motorhome or RV since 1999 then back to a caravan in 2017.
Depending on the ebikes either inside or on a biukerack or roofrack on the TOAD.

Thanks for advice but i cant physically lift the weight to roof any more.
The vw up cant tow but there is a £600 bar available to carry a rack but on 1st inspection for lightweights only.
Probably chear to buy a Terios!🙂😉

We used to A-frame tow a Suzuki Swift and had a double Fiamma bike rack on the rear wall of the mh. Even with that I was concerned about catching the car and bikes on a tight corner. I would suggest removing the batteries from the bikes and mount them on the back of the Up.

I towed a trailer with the car on and had two bikes on the rack fixed to the rear doors of the van. I don’t see why you cannot use the flange mounted Witter one, which I have lying about somewhere, as long as you are careful doing any tight turns.

As has been suggested by two eminent fun lovers THE UP rear hatch is a good place to try if it wasnt made of glass unlike the citygo.
I am currently using an acient flange mounted rack and a thule easybase. When i get back i will have a trial with aframe before getting a witter.

People seemed concerned about fowling on full lock but nobody seems to be considering the rear axle weight with trailer nose weight AND weight of bikes hanging of the rear of moho (regardless of how you mount them) so having bike on toad or trailer makes sense .

I did..... Weight of the bikes will be an issue but the A frame nose weight will be neglegable.
Makes more sense and takes the weight of the rack and bikes off the rear axle.
Don't even need a towbar on the car if you use the strap-on type rack.

Broken most bits now
We use a wind down cycle carrier mounted to the back of our Moho and the towbar for towing things (not a toad but a couple of bits of plant). The cycle carrier is good for 70kg but not sure of weight of e-bikes without battery.

I am in the same predicament as the OP. We have a Picanto TOAD, but the nose weight on most tow bars for small cars is only 28kg, this would make it difficult to legally put a towbar bike rack on, especially it it is carrying a couple of ebikes….I am still pondering on the best solution, other than leaving the bikes at home!
