When my towcar is hooked on, all the lights and brakes work in parallel with the M/h. Is there any "legal" requirement to have additional signage such as reflective triangles and "Towcar" visible

We only had reflective triangles velcroed on the rear window of the car and the number plate changed to match that of the mh.

H/Duty velcro might be an option if it is a LEGAL requirement . Thanks for that. Can anyone say if it is a legal requirement or not,

You never see a trailer with an 'on tow' sign.
Not a legal requirement.
As others said... Reflective triangles and tow vehicle number plate are required by law.

I had triangles glue to radio speaker magnets with a piece of cloth to protect the car paintwork.

You can also buy magnetic triangles on ebay.

Triangles are a legal requirement and there is a specific height and width for these to be placed.
I have a Tow Car plate I stick in the back window, Note you are not “on tow” which implies you are broken down.

Hi Fred the triangle,s are a legal requirement but the on tow sign is not required as the towed car is classed as a trailer. The Amica is still going fine after 4 years, how are the lovely Shepherds doing.

Shepherds have gone to the big kennel in the sky. It was a very bad year, Now have a little mongrel Romanian refugee called Jack .Glad the amica is still going well
Thanks everyone looks like two triangles stuck to the black bumper with black H/D velcro. All other signs will go in the bin. Thank everyone who replied with advice.

you mean outside of the need to replace the tow car registered numberplate with a duplicate of the motorhome! We used to have a 'on tow' numberplate propped up on the parcel shelf on the tow car.

Triangles are required fitting as above.
I cut an old numberplate revearsed and mounted triangles with stainless fittings.
The whole assembly is clipped to the car numberplate using the stainless clamp attached.
As mentioned earlier do not use an "ON TOW" sign, it relates to a broken down vehicle. more appropriate is "towed" or " towed vehicle "
I use a sign (numberplate) in the front window stating "TOWING".

Hmmm, in my view it would be a towed vehicle - irrelevant if it had been broken down or not it is still being towed therefore unless legislation says otherwise ‘on tow’ is a valid description.

Over egging the pudding , the purpose of triangular reflectors are to show that it is a towed vehicle , they are illegal to use on a prime mover . :)

It is not legally a “vehicle” when being towed in this manner, it is classed as a “trailer” and therefor has to comply with trailer legislation which is different to towing vehicles that have broken down.
