For anyone who is quite handy and is contemplating fitting a tow bar to their Elddis Motorhome.

I have just fitted the dedicated Witter Tow Bar together with dedicated wiring loom/kit. It is incredibly easy to do - apart from scrabbling around underneath to feed wiring up to battery compartment.

Should also say it didn't cost me a penny! my son paid. We let him and his partner use it and he wanted to tow his motorbike. Now we have the potential benefit of being able to tow a small motorbike ourselves

Is your MH pre-April 2012 registered or is your towbar type approved ?

I don't think Witter make type approved for MHs as yet.

Mine is a 2010 and I think I am right in saying that Witter have been producing a 'Whole Vehicle Type Approved' tow bar for the Elddis for a little while now.

Chassis underneath had already pre-drilled holes to precisely line up chassis extension brackets and as stated before made for a very easy fit.

You are quite right about Witter and Elddis.
Witter have supplied the tow bars for Elddis for quite some time now.
The reason that the holes are pre-drilled and line up perfectly is that Witter also supply the chassis extensions to Elddis.
Quite a clever piece of marketing really. :thumb:
