Tow bar electrics for Fiat Ducato auto to trail Apache 2007

Hi has anyone fitted a tow bar electrics to the above, if so do you need a special kit, ie is it a smart can ?
I have connected as would normally by just splicing the appropriate wires with connectors without success
Any help would be appreciated

I don't know the base vehicle it is on but would be surprised if a 2007 did not need a canbus connection unit.

You need a dedicated canbus wiring loom or conversion kit

You do need a dedicated kit. I fitted one to my 2010 Apache, which is the same base vehicle I believe.

Hi just to update I fitted a smart logic relay 12N single from Ring for around £30.
Make sure you connect the rear lights indicators etc correctly and it works a dream
