Hi anyone got a tip or trick to get one of these tight? Mine tells me to tighten bolt underneath then tihten bolt on top but instead of getting tight the back simply lifts up.

    Any help appreciated please.

Just in case anybody reading this is thinking about buying a tow-ball mounted cycle carrier, we also have the Thule. It's brilliant.

I have a Thule one also and carry 2 electric bikes on it no problem.
Tighten the nut up and then push lever down and check - if it moves lift lever and tighten a little more and then push lever down again - If it does not move (I stand on it to check) then all that needs doing from now on is to left lever to remove and then refit (without adjusting nut) and push lever down - very easy and secure - travelled thousands of miles with it on the tow-ball.

Sent useless one back and got a Thule - worked first time and rock solid. Thanks for all the support.
