1 year motorhomer after 21 years caravanning
We have abt 2 weeks free soon and hope to explore Wales for the first time in our Tracker FB - broad plan is to head North towards Snowdonia and loop down the west coast ish!
Can anyone please provide any recommendations for sites and/ or places to visit based on their own positive experiences. Thanks in advance, Dave

Having emigrated to Wales 10 years ago (by choice) the areas you are looking to visit are stunning

For me it's the mountains, beaches & motorcycling roads (plus the beer & women!)

Have a look here for some ideas http://www.visitwales.com/

Not sure what you like, but if you remember the 60's TV programme 'the prisoner' then a trip to Portmerion might be in order

Anglesey might be worth a lap....

Out of school holidays, you should have no trouble finding places to stay, Club sites, private sights,B&B Hotels, etc.

If you end up at the Gower you should book https://threecliffsbay.com/ stunning beach (there are better nearby - yes really) featured on the 5 go motorhoming TV Series

Enjoy

Don't forget the Brecon Beacons area. Whilst in that area a visit to 'Pwll Mawr', Blaenavon, is well worth it (and its free!) A fascinating day out together with the Ironworks down the road.

Mid wales , Builth Wells ( rhymes with filth ) just to help with pronunciation ) Rhayader ,Elan valley, many car parks allow overnight parking ( sleeping ) although I believe a small charge is now in place )
North to south or visa versa plenty to do and see .

Lot of nice places on West Wales coast, Porthmadog visit Porthmeirion (Italian village). A few Haven sites nearby
which are pretty cheap this time of year. Also railway up the mountains to Ffestiniog. We have stopped at Betws-y-Coed, Riverside Touring park, nice site a bit overpriced, but some offers available with C&MC. You can catch train to Llandudno for a day out from Betws-y-Coed. Also plenty of nice places further down the coast,Barmouth ,Aberystwyth,
Cardigan, Fishguard . St Davids is another nice place to visit.
We have stayed at a campsite right on the front at Newgale next to the pub.
Hope this helps a bit.

You might also want to add Pembrey to the lists above. Caravam and Motorhome club and a municipal site next to each otther. Stunning beach and forest trails straight off both sites. (Funster meets planned this year again), Minature steam railway, car racing circuit etc.
