Thanks for the quick response, the site looks great, we are hoping to confirm dates this week and get booked in.

The nearest site to Padstow is http://www.denniscovecampsite.co.uk it is on the camel trail and within walking distance of the town. Have never been there so don't know what it's like.

We stayed there a couple of years ago. Nice site with friendly owners. Easy to get to the Camel Trail and cycle or walk to Padstow. I would stay there again.

The access road to Dennis Cove is narrow with high walls/hedges for which put us off but if you are brave it is well located! Padstow Touring is a bit barren with regards to on site greenery so not the prettiest or private site if busy but good open views around, clean toilet/shower block & footpath to Padstow fine in dry weather but can be muddy. The walk back up the steep hill in Padstow from the harbour area to Tesco could be a problem for anyone with health problems but the actual footpath back to the site (to left of Tesco entrance) is easier. It's a shame that the footpath isn't really viable for bikes & the road down (&up!) is steep & busy to enable better access to the Camel Trail running around the coast from the harbour. For anyone who doesn't know the area well - there is a footpath up the hill at the far side of the harbour just after the public loo & TI office & you can walk on the SW Coastpath to lovely beaches but no facilities for quite a distance so don't forget to pack drinks! We didn't spot this on our first visit to Padstow.
