Hiya Guys,
Glad to report we're both safe and unharmed just.
The RV suffered a small amount of damage but nothing too serious just some minor water ingress.
Thanks for all your e-mails its nice to know we have so many concerned friends especially JIM .
We have just arrived in New Orleans and managed to get internet acces again as there was none available in Mississippi after the storm.
That was the most incredible experience and it all happened so fast. One minute we were sat relaxing the next someone knocked on the door to warn us about a possible tornado the next thing was a red tornado alert then all hell broke loose. The Rv lifted on one side and that was it we were gone into the bunker as fast as we could. Jan as usual was well organised she grabbed MY WALLET and the passports while I grabbed some BEER. The bunker was about 100yds away but the only way to get to it was in the car it was impossible to stand or walk and even in the car it took us a few minutes as we could'nt even see the bonnet. We got out of the car and it was maybe 15ft to the bunker door but it was like trying to walk against a tidal wave of water SCARY. It made me realise just how small and weak we are compared to Mother Nature.
Anyway no harm done and yet another good tale to tell over a few beers.
But next time there's a tornado warning we'll be first at the bunker.
See you all soon. Thanks for the concern once again
Rory & Jan
