Hi Nick

we have been on the road for over two years ..

you don't say what van you have.. .. but if it's big enough.. top of the 'must haves' is

A Washing machine ...

site facilities abroad leave a lot to be desired, and are expensive, .. and if your using aires there is no where to do the laundry... of course it's fine doing it in a bucket .. IN SUMMER .. try it in winter .. not much fun..

Lots of EHU leads .. several short lengths are better than one huge one. 15mt and 25mt are useful

A Sat Nav.. I recommend Tom Tom XL1 Europe
Atlas of every country you plan to tour, Michelin are the best

good luck

Jim

Are you a widow ? A friend of mine had a saying "She'd kill a normal man". It came to mind the minute I saw that list.

Oh, and this friend got a new girlfriend, and she did. I'll bet he died with a big grin though.

6 years + 5 years in boat before that
1/ A mobil phone each, one that is unlocked so that you can fit simcards of the country that you are in, many of them pay in credit so they cost you nothing if you dont have phones that are unlocked plan to get then unlocked when you are away. Spain is good.

2/ If you have a laptop then get yourself a WIFI mini dish from Hawkings Technology about ÂŁ60.00 you will be amazed how many free wifi links you find and with the dish you can work from your van in comfort, all for free. I'm doing it now...

3/ Rig yourself up for wild camping ie solar panels and batteries, you will save ÂŁthousands if you do

4/ Learn to drive with a soft at about 55 mph, again a noticeable saving.

5/ Fit a good water filter for drinking water, one like aguapur, the convenience is well worth it.

6/ Lots of money, with the present exchange rate everything is expensive in the Euro zone

Thats about it for now

Good price here at the moment

It is. Just ordered one, thanks.

It looks to me that this a Dabs site - at one point it directs business customers to Dabs and the goods look a bit out of place for BT. Who cares !!

And it's just arrived.

Is this sexy of what !!!! I've not tried it yet but it's worth the money to have it on show, my own private Jodrell Bank.

I guess it must work, the design is sound.
