What would you recommend I should have in my tool kit or essential kit to always have on board ?
I have a corkscrew and bottle opener ;)

duct tape and a hammer...

if it moves and shouldn't then duct tape

if it doesn't move and should a hammer

seriously though a set of screwdrivers and small socket set to tighten anything that comes loose. then a breakdown membership card and a credit card

I have accumulated in my 12 months of resurrecting my 20yr old MH a number of off cuts of pipe, brackets, cupboard stays and assorted small bag of all lengths of screws. Amazing how useful these two bags of odds and ends have been.
Eg,. Gas struts on Heki failed and sheared off the lip that the two handles lock to.
Used two one inch off cuts of cable trunking to screw into same place - works better than original lip and lets me lock about 1/2" open in winter for ventilation.
Oh, and cable ties and small looped bungy cords with bobbles on.

Small socket set, decent pliers, decent side cutters, a big and a small adjustable spanner, a set of decent screwdrivers, a set of allan keys or torx keys to suit, a roll of duck tape, a roll of self amalgamating tape (Screwfix 2115v), silicone lubricating spray (NOT WD40), a pack of assorted fuses, gorilla viscous superglue, common sense and a packet of zip ties. Check your Bank account, you may be surprised to discover that one of the benefits of all those charges is AA membership! The self amalgamating tape is absolutely brilliant at fixing leaky pipes, even cooling system pipes The only pipe I've failed to fix was a high pressure aircon pipe!!

Cheers and Happy MoHo-ing!!
