2 hour road rides have been my maximum lately. It's hardly been above 0 degrees up here in the North East so 2 hours and my feet are frozen.

The salt on the road is really attacking the brakes and drivetrain.

Well done for trying.
I target 3 1 hour rides weekly if poss but this week I've only managed 30 minutes between showers - I don't like wet or cleaning the bike after šŸ˜

Are they Mudhuggers front and rear? Got the Mudhugger at the rear on mine and after the last ride have ordered the front one....
Yes Mudhuggers front and rear and have added a extra piece on rear witch is a front half of a defender just for extra coverage. I hate having mudguards on my bike but needs must in winter. Canā€™t wait to take them off. (y)

I've taken them off to take the bike back to the LBS for work on it and then only put them back on when there's mud around. {but usually prefer them on. cow shit is year round ;) )

edit: didn't see I'd lost some words with the last edit....

Cheers, that was the Ven Top route. We did the real Ventoux in the summer. It's easier on Zwift although you don't get the views.

I'm struggling with a lack of motivation to get fit and get outside to ride, so kudos to those of you who have made the effort.

Looking forward to summer.

Nice bike, another Boardman fan.
We were up the Alpe D'huez 2018 for the tour and it was rammed with amateur cyclists and one brave guy came up on a penny farthing, in costume, to a resounding round of applause.

So after today's ride I gave it a treat.. im not sure it knew what was happening..I usually let the rain take care of the cleaning (y)

Canā€™t use mudguards here at the moment, itā€™s so muddy that they get pulled off by the quantity of mud.

I tend to keep going in Winter as i like the quite roads, although probably down to 500km a month at present:

Some is off-road stuff when things get a bit heavy:

Just need to be a tad cautious on the roads where there's some drifts:

Last Saturday was a short road trip of 60km but wondered why i was having difficulty drinking.....

Seems my drink bottle froze, it was -6 and wind chill was closer to -10 ish

PS: it's never to wet for road bikes although it can be too wet and cold for road bike cyclists;)
