Hi @gordon where should it be, an island off the west coast of Scotland by any chance.

Could be as we are on south uist
Just don't know how to put the instruction in to Tom Tom

Just go to navigate to and then co-ordinates or lat/long different models might use different headings, worked for me on the I-phone app.

Its a tomtom, not an i-phone Using a tomtom app.....

Some models use a different access mode than others.

I know, that why I said different models use different headings. It's still Tom Tom software though surely. Anyway where does he say what model it is.

One can assume, as he said TomTom and not tomtom app it would be a tomtom unit.

Agree it is still tomtom software but each model uses the software in a different way....not just the co-ord input type

The GO50/500/5000 and possibly others use "whole map" then "co-ords" from a list....others have a different input method

I always call my TomTom app just plain old TomTom so didn't make those or any assumptions, but otherwise agree there are different ways and menus for inputting the same thing.

As others have said you pick the "navigate to" option and then chose long/lad. Be aware that there are 3 ways of entering long/lat. One is degrees/minutes/seconds. The other is degrees and I think decimal minutes. If the numbers you are wanting to enter don't look like the right format then you go into settings menu and pick the correct option. If I remember correctly the first number is North and the minus number means West.

Hi

To help anyone with this it is better to know the Tomtom model involved.

For the older models it is correct to say. Tap "Navigate to" then tap the arrow head on the right edge of the screen and this takes you to another page. Tap Long/Lat and then enter the details you have stated.

On the new Go Models you do not have a" Navigate to" icon. You tap the 4 dot icon bottom left, Tap Search, Tap the Whole Map icon top Right and then scroll down to the last item which which is Longituede and Latitude. Tap that and then enter the details you have at the top.

The above should answer your question.

The Figures you have stated are for a place in the very North West of the Island at Scolpaig
