Hi all

Occasionally have used toll roads in France and Spain to avoid going to far out of the way or not so good routes through villages etc. We are 3.5 max and under 6 metres, slightly over with bike rack. What class does this put us in? I've been using the Michelin route finder and just wondered the difference compared to a car?

cheers

Class 2. You can use non toll roads and still travel by motorway and/or duel carriageway depending on your journey. Use toll sections to get through big towns/cities and then back onto non toll roads, especially useful on the N10 route down through France.

You will find this link very helpful if you want to do this and save toll fares.

Class 2 for France. mappy.com will let you calculate mileage, fuel consumption and tell you toll charges. You can alter vehicle details and avoid toll roads to compare costs and distances.
