I have just been reading an old thread about toilets, some say it is my favourite subject:ROFLMAO:, and I have a question. We live out in the country off mains sewerage, and have a Kingspan Klargester Biotec sewerage treatment plant Link Removed :Eeek:.
If I empty the toilet cassette into this will it compromise the bacterial action of the system if I use chemicals?
I am thinking along the lines of installing a SOG unit but won't have done that before we go away for our first trip next weekend.:helpsos:

I firmly believe it is very bad to put chemical toilet stuff in septic tanks as, as you say, it compromises the natural action of the enzymes...

I use Sainsbury's economy (Basics) BIOLOGICAL washing liquid (around £1 a litre) in my porta potti and in the holding tank of the Hymer and it works fine. No problem emptying them into septic tanks... :thumb:
