Yep today's the day,,

After 18 months of training,


10 10k's


6 Half Marathons


4 Long trail runs


3 20 mile training runs.


Numerous injuries!!!!


Its Time for me to run the Chester Marathon in aide of THE MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION. I have raised over £500 so thank you all the funster's that have sponsored me, I will give it my best shot and hope that my legs hold together.

Yep thank you guys for your well wishes. thank you very much......


I am indeed back at home on the sofa as I cant make the stairs. I managed a little over 5hrs so a little disappointed with my time but, I did spend 20 mins in the St Johns ambulance van at mile 16 having some running repairs. They were not keen to let me carry on but, I just said, yeah whatever, I will be finishing this because Im nuts , at that point I was on for about 4hrs 20 the next 10 miles hurt like hell!! but I just massaged the mind to block it out.

It was a real experience, one that will live with me for some time, the adrenaline itself kept me going. When I finished both my calves just cramped up and left me falling to the floor, but it was a good job a nice young medic was there to make them all better.

So, if yo see me running again in the next week, please shoot me. although I have now just entered the Helsby half and looking at the very interesting Lake District ultra for next year!!:thumb:

I will , Ralph says he wont , but i dont want to be the only one !
If you are i will have to look out for a black wig , ( Halloween one maybe that i can jazz up ) Im not dyeing mine for the occasion .

Well done Paul we are all SO PROUD of you for the efforts you have made, and well done for the money you have raised for the Make A Wish Foundation. I am so glad you finished you must have been very emotional crossing the line and all the hard miles of the last 18 months must have felt at that moment all worth it, brilliant!:beer::beerchug::clap::clap::clap::clap::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy:
