Anyone know what this is? It’s plastic, 49mm by 42mm, labelled 71424 2. It has two lugs at either end so I guess it should clip onto something. It appeared one day in the region of the starboard side of the drop-down front bed. I cannot see where it should go, and there doesn’t appear to be one on the port side.

Could it be the internal cover that goes over the fixings for a wind out awning?

OMG!

Bits falling off Hymers?

Never!:whistle::)

Looks like the back of a 240v socket

Gotta be faster to beat me when I'm on a roll! :ROFLMAO:

I suspect, due to our differing physiques, that my rolling is a little more lumbering than yours! :D

Thanks all. I’ll take a look at the front awning attachment area tomorrow.

Cheers...Keith

I think Hymer just leaves a spare one there to show you what you would be getting if you bought a different brand.. ........ . :D2

Nah!

However, its a thoughtful touch. A box to keep all the screws which fall out. :LOL:

Got a spare one in my van. Slightly different shape goes over awning screws.

Just a question,
Does the Hymer in question have one of those 'Fiamma' Handles that doubles as a door security device?

The photo looks like the one that falls off off our van with regularity.
Our van's german as well. We can now blame the Italians for this.

Many thanks everyone. Cover refitted to awning front bolt spreader plate. It will probably fall off again. :D
