Ah. I see where I went wrong with this. Specifically, to avoid any jocular replies, although I see you have started already, a non- electric hob-top thingy. Thanks Jim, that is probably the one.

We don't have an oven in our new van and use a Bright Spark stove top toaster. It makes much better toast than the grill in the old van! Fits 2 slices and you soon learn to regulate the gas flame and move the bread around to get an even toasting ?.

A frying pan!!

Never tried it with Warby's or similar but toast baguettes , rolls etc cut in half, toast on hot dry frying pan no problem.

Tried one of those... Not a spot on the type with the wire mesh as Jim uses.. And toast is done in about a minute

We don't bother with toast when we're away usually, although occasionally we'll use the grill to toast a cut baguette for breakfast just to avoid throwing it away (and saves other food of course!)

Try a dry frying pan, brings the baguette back to life instead of drying it out.

Us too - it works very well & is the best product we've found so far for toasting on a gas hob (y)
