Hello Funsters
Any thoughts on a proper breathable roof only cover when not using your MH
Keeps much of the van clean but does it mark the flanks where it touches on the four corners.
Thanks.

Our experience with using a mototrhome cover was not good and we will not use a cover again on a motorhome that's parked outside, the reason why, well we used a cover over winter to keep the muck and grot off and although the cover was tight on the motorhome the wind moved the cover about and rubbed through areas of paint to the aluminium on the corners of the motorhome. The cover was not a cheap one, it was a Royal breathable with a soft flock type lining.

Wouldn't bother unless you have to park under trees or are by the sea.Bought one with our first van all keen like and but was a right pain so hardly ever used it.

Thanks. That’s the issue as half the time it’s under oak trees which can drop mess.
I like to move the van monthly to keep parts moving.
Good job it’s a hobby 😆
Can’t see the point, it’s a vehicle, vehicles are not indoor animals!
yep although I fell like an animal climbing on the roof to clean the mess off 😬

Seagulls apart, I reckon living near the sea is a good reason not to use a cover. All that sea air and salt residue tends to keep things permanently damp under a cover which promotes mould and isn’t good for paint, seals or fixtures. An occasional wash down with some fresh rain, a bit of direct sunlight and circulating air is a better option.

we built a fixed roof to cover the MH, but builders cost less in Poland:smiley:

Those were the days….
