It's just as horrendous shipping from the UK to Europe ---

I posted a valuable book (£300) to Belgium on the 25th February, here is the tracking history.

Thirty seven days in Belgian customs and now the recipient has a bill of 52.55€ to pay!!

That's a charge of 21% VAT? on a second hand book (the value on the package was £250 not £300).

I thought with the advent of puters and tinternet paperwork was sposed to have become obsolete??

No the paperwork has become digitised, having been involved with technical sales and the odd and I do mean odd drop off (maybe a software licence) the cost of putting it right would have been maybe a couple of £k corporate diligence meant that every system had to be over documented justified, peer reviewed and the. Double checked by ‘management’ the costs just escalate out of proportion compared to an odd mistake.

Is there an advantage buying Efoy fuel from Germany? We get ours from Fuel Cell Systems in Hungerford.

Price of 2 x M10 cartridges from Hungerford is £106.80 plus delivery to PE post code @ £67.94 which I think is too much.

It looks like most companies are having Brexit probs. UPS managed to lose my solar panel after saying it was held in UK Customs. Then they gave a delivery date. Then said it had gone to the Coventry depot and it needed to be sent back to the office covering our area. Then it was show as being in customs again. Then nothing. Then the tracking history over three weeks disappeared to be replaced by one line, in customs. Then tumble weed........ The supplier after checking sent me a replacement using TNT. It arrived two days later.
