On the long, slow journey towards Marjal from Zahora for the MHF meet, I am planning on a couple of weeks at sites 1/3rd. and 2/3rds. of the distance, say, around the Malaga area and Mojacar !
Has anybody had any experiences of these areas:thumb: and can reccomend camp sites there ?

We found Torre del Mar very agreeable a few years ago. At the southern end of town there were 2 campsites. Also a huge flat parking area next to them where we met a funster who camped free. He lifted a drain for toilet dump. It was a great town for cycling, miles of nice promenade.

We love Nerja but no camp site, there is a big central car park but not sure how many days you can stay.

Just google earthed the Doncactus site ! It looks fine, are those greenhouses all around ?
Sent them an e-mail about availability in mid January, do you think they will be full up ?

There are a great many "invernaderos" (plastic greenhouses) in that area but they do not really intrude on the camp site, just the access road. The site is very family oriented and is clean and well run. Not sure how busy they are in January, perhaps the "snowbirds" will have arrived by then, but I doubt that they will be full. Have you looked at the web site shown above ? Your e-mail to them should set your mind at rest.

PS: Should have said it is an ACSI site so €16 should be price for MH +2 adults. See page 352 ACSI 2012 ...if you have it.
