many many years! since I was a kid
farewell Dave, it has been a true privilege knowing you mate. Brenda sends you and Alli hugs and kisses. Being spiritualists we know that there is life beyond this final pain. maybe send us a message when you reach the other side

we will always remember you and your multitude of stories and your harmonica

God bless you mate, cause the devil thinks you're a bastard

Well that`s our 13th year & still loving it.
Dave we have never met but we have shared a good few posts on this website, I can honestly say your comments have made me look inward at my thoughts, this last post has taken my breath away.
I like most have lost too many family members, friends and acquaintances to cancer, I`m sorry I don`t have a miracle cure but you and yours do have our thoughts.

Bon Voyage, God Bless and thank you.

My sincerest regards Rob.

A wonderful post, @Tootles, I am sure that all of us would like to go on our last journey with our mental faculties as sharp as yours are.
You will be a great loss to the forums here and will be missed with sadness.
Safe journey x

Toots you bugger you've bought more than a tear to my eye, I realise how long this post has taken you to write but I'm glad you did, I know you'll keep reading, and the odd post when you can, but I'm just pleased to have known you and Ali, and would expect nothing less than for you to say 'I did it my way'
Hugs Carol & Eddie xx

We have never met but I have always enjoyed reading your posts. I sit here thinking that I wish I could have had a beer or two with you as you come across as a very wise and straight talker.
Hope to still see you posting
Best wishes
Steve

Over 25 year's
i know you've not gone yet but i can see you now

A soldier stood at the pearly gates

His face all scarred and old

He stood before the man of fate

For admission to the fold

"What have you done", St Peter asked

"To gain admission here?"

"I've been a soldier Sir/' he said,

"For many and many a year".

The pearly gates swung open wide

As St Peter touched the bell.

'Inside", he said, "And choose your harp,

You've had your share of hell"

He met old comrades gone before

And shook them by the hand

There was no more talk of war,

He had found the promised land.

Was a newbie, now a Middie.
Where are you? @Tootles At home?
Yes, still at home mate. Got a Macmillan nurse allocated, and a palliative consultant on tap. (y) I am determined to stay at home as long as Ali can cope with me, then, I have a bedspace at The St Johns Hospice Lancaster for the last shove. Losing around 5lb a week now, on steroids to help me eat something without throwing it back.

Here's my next posting, kindly donated free by my parent Regiment, the (now) Kings Royal Hussars. My old captain lives next door, I was his driver for a while. Someone to chat to. (y)
