Have any of the regions lifted the ban on inter regional border movement ?Spain is open there are curfews on no travel in the evening
Spain is not Open...there are still many restrictions in place....it's worth doing your homework before travelling....use official websites for accuracy....stay safe and ensure you don't get sick....Spain is open there are curfews on no travel in the evening
We are in Murcia and are restricted to one of 45 Municipalities here....if we are caught outside ours without good reason....hospital etc we will get fined.....Have any of the regions lifted the ban on inter regional border movement ?
This is the issue I would have, especially as they have huge fines for non compliance.
Well that's what should happen but is not...the are many in Motorhomes who are having a jolly, even making YouTube videos of there unchallenged travels...moving every day or so if there isn't a problem....they are going to come down to earth with a bump if they are found out....very silly people......will spoil it for others...Apparently they are only stopping Spanish plated vehicles and letting English ones through to there holiday destination but once your there you must not move
Hi where did you read it please?Hi just read that you can travel on holiday abroad from the uk so I’m off to Benidorm, tunnel booked for the 16 December think France is allowing holiday travel by then
just spoke to the boss at camping la Torretta and she said the Valencia region open on the 8th December she said that travel should be fine by the 16th December
One has just got to ask, WHY?Hi just read that you can travel on holiday abroad from the uk so I’m off to Benidorm, tunnel booked for the 16 December think France is allowing holiday travel by then
Although I disagree with breaking rules ie crossing a closed border in a Spanish region you can travel internationally from a tier 3 area in the uk, as majority of country’s require a COVID test prior to travel. If you are in a Tier 3 region in UK you are advised not to travel to or from tier 3 areas
I suspect they drew the rules up to allow flights and airports to still operate in tier 3 but never considered people driving the length of the country.Although I disagree with breaking rules ie crossing a closed border in a Spanish region you can travel internationally from a tier 3 area in the uk, as majority of country’s require a COVID test prior to travel.
I read yesterday that covid tests are only required by travellers arriving in Spain by air, but NOT by road or ferry.Although I disagree with breaking rules ie crossing a closed border in a Spanish region you can travel internationally from a tier 3 area in the uk, as majority of country’s require a COVID test prior to travel.
Hope those travelling are not those condemning some well known celebrity for have I birthday she 'shouldn't ' have or was advised not to .Words fail me..........so I won’t say anything.
oops, just did
Because of course COVID only travels in aircraft and cannot be bothered with road transportI read yesterday that covid tests are only required by travellers arriving in Spain by air, but NOT by road or ferry.
At the moment we may not travel freely between regions but after the 15th it is possible this will be lifted depending on infection rates and hospital situation but we do not know when we will be told this is possible .Hi where did you read it please?
Can you post a link please, our understanding was that it was a requirement for ferries as well as flights, if planning to travel south it may well be worth a call to Brittany Ferries.I read yesterday that covid tests are only required by travellers arriving in Spain by air, but NOT by road or ferry.
But you can travel from any region that has open borders to any other region with open borders through any region with closed borders. If yo area torist you can arrive & travel to booked accommodation/holiday home or rental but cannot leave once there & mst have thye paperwork with you if asked.that Spain opens up too though, as currently most regions borders are closed.
As above.Have any of the regions lifted the ban on inter regional border movement ?
This is the issue I would have, especially as they have huge fines for non compliance.
You can travel in to other areas for departure for FOREIGN holidays. If you are in a Tier 3 region in UK you are advised not to travel to or from tier 3 areas
You have to ask why considering new cases are 50% of the current UK rate, & still falling, as are deaths? As of Dec 1st...........
The FCDO advises against all but essential travel to:
- Spain, including the Balearic Islands but excluding the Canary Islands, based on the current assessment of COVID-19 risks.
Think it's to do with numbers,,air plane 160 passengers,,motor home 2..We drove from Benicasim to home in late Oct and only saw 2 leisure vehicles driving South.. BUSBY.Because of course COVID only travels in aircraft and cannot be bothered with road transport
