With Thunderstorms predicted on Saturday, I wondered if anyones Moho has been struck by lightening?
Were away this weekend. if we do get storms I will be lowering the t.v ariel as a precaution šŸ¤£

On a C&CC THS at Sheringham, one chap's MH 12v electrics was completely taken out by a lightning strike. :whatthe: He had to be recovered, but only after the Bank Holiday Monday, as nowhere open to accept the vehicle.

Taran_Las Phil had an unfortunate experience following a lightning strike. :(

Jock. :)

Poor guy. I know how he feels. My event occurred in France. But I appreciate there could be language difficulties in Sheringham too. ;)

PS - I lived in Norfolk for 4 years and picked up some of the lingo.
Az e gorra a problem with the bartries ?

We were struck by lightning in France about three or four years ago, or something very very close was, itā€™s hard to say. We were inside closed up trying to console the dog when a huge bang occurred, like several people hitting the sides with shovels all at once.
Apart from scaring us, hard to console the dog when youā€™re scared yourself, it tripped the onboard main switch and the only mark I could find was some paint missing off the rear near side corner alloy panel.
We have hydraulic jacks and had them down at the time, trying to decide if they they should be or not.
We weā€™re without electricity for hours because we thought the site power had been knocked out but it was just us.

I was in an electric milk float in the 70s when it received a direct hit from lightning (explains a lot:madder:), brightest light I've ever seen, loudest noise I've ever heard, the float had a small scorch mark on the roof which mostly polished out but was otherwise unaffected!

Climbing out of Manchester one day we tok a lightening strike on the nose cone. No damage to the aircraft except it took out the weather radar, which to function has to be housed outside the aluminium of the fuselage in the firbreglass nose cone, and case a small hole in the tailfin skin.

Captain got a bit of a shock as a blue flash shot between his legs so he let me take over. No harm done.

We returned to Manchester to have things fixed.
