Finally got a thunderstorm - thank goodness. Have been waiting for several days. Each day forecast said we'd get one and we didn't. Perhaps it will be cooler afterwards. I was considering going to Shetland where the temperature is 16 - heaven. Can't even get a cold shower here, the water is almost hot!

“epic”. I love that word and will now start to use it more often...in context of course.:giggle:

Send it this way would you? East. The last one just went rumbling by. I’ve done a rain dance,naked,in the garden. It hasn’t helped one iota,but it gave the neighbours plenty to laugh at.:LOL::LOL:;)

Do you have any photos please?

We are away in our Moho in Derbyshire, near Buxton. We were supposed to have a storm last night around 8.00pm - nothing. However we had been out to dinner and we when we got back we sat outside and watched a fantastic electrical storm across the valley... lasted about an hour . Went to bed and then hit us at 1.00am.... Talk about an angry storm.... serious wind, rain and lightning.....lasted about 90mins.. Thank goodness I’d taken the awning in before bed...!

Crikey, you got me doubting my use of the word 'epic'.
Not to worry - it was appropriate :)

Well I erected a Colman event shelter this evening to cater for our bubble tomorrow evening, now lying in a heap with at least two of the side poles damaged so now I need a plan B for entertaining tomorrow evening.

I think the sheer volume of rain brought it down.
Upside is nobody has been hurt😆

Well yes,I do actually........but I’m sending them away for enlargement.......the guy doing it said they can work wonders nowadays. I was happy with that...until he said “and we’ll certainly have to in your case”.
Cheeky monkey! ;);):ROFLMAO::rofl:
Photoshop is brilliant! Not that I am saying you need any enhancement though!
