I am looking for simple solutions for storing an Ebike on my travels. My MiRider 24 GB3 fits under the bed in my PVC for travel meaning it is only just aft of the rear axle but (a) it obstructs access to stuff stored behind once on a site (b) it is a pfaff to get in and out for rides. So I bought one of these so I can hang the bike on the back once parked up D-locked on etc:

But once mounted to get access to occasional use stuff in the "boot" I need to demount the bike unlock the Thule Express take it off, access necessary items then reverse the process. I am beginning to think I would be better off with a Velolite 1 but I need to be sure that when fitted the cargo doors on my Mk 8 Transit will clear the top of the Velolite with bike demounted otherwise I am no better off. Anybody got one who can advise? I will pop out and measure what clearance I have when the torrential rain stops:

Thanks in advance for replies!

I have checked. I have just 1.5 cms clearance above the ball hitch and maybe 3 cms lateral clearance as the door swings out. Not much to play with in either direction!!
