Thule step on 'best of 10' Transit base (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I have an electric step bought for our old van but never fitted.
Can anyone give me any advice to fitting this step onto or Chausson Best of 10 van based on a Mk7 Transit please.
Is there a fitting kit available?

I don't think I have ever heard of a fitting kit for a step. Does it not come with brackets/instructions etc?

We have the same model not sure if its worth bothering fitting a step its not that much of a step up. It also depends how it fits the existing step is a plastic moulding extending below the foor I dont think you could fasten anything to it

I have heard of fitting kits for other vans; the step has just the basic frame.
We find that the step up into the van just a bit too much for us oldies, hence why this question.
Not sure if I can make up a frame to bolt through the floor and not put any strain on the plastic step.

When we took the mil in our MH we just used a folding plastic step.

I've got a mark 8 Transit van, and there is no way one can fit an electric step without some serious custom designed metalwork to support it.

Yep, I've got the same step as you, got it from Lidl

No help to the OP, but if have a Seval van it slides under the passenger seat, just above the jack/wheelbrace case for storage

Still have the step in its box, have not got round to designing any brakets for it yet; have not had the nerve to see just how much the standard plastic would take due to the fact I doubt if I could find a replacement if I wrecked it!
Still looking for a solution: we had one of the folding steps but it broke, we now carry a non - folding step with a piece of string on it to stop me leaving it behind when moving off!

How about one of these? We have one and it works well and is exactly the right height - half way between the ground and the mh door. However the one I bought was under £20 delivered from Amazon.

When the step was out of use on the van we bought a plastic folding one from the Range for not much over a fiver. It looks nothing special but it folds flat and survived for 18 months until the step was sorted.
I have seen the same step in B&Q and local motorhome parts place. Muttly prefers it because he can’t fall between the steps and get his legs stuck.
