Hi guys just picked up our Thule omnistor 3.75m awning, just wondering if you have any tips on fitting one yourself cheers mark

Don't try on your own as they are extremely heavy.:)

I believe that there is a standard fixing kit comprising of three brackets which will fit onto the roof, that’s assuming you have bought the correct version for a VW.

Hi guys just picked up our Thule omnistor 3.75m awning, just wondering if you have any tips on fitting one yourself cheers mark
If it’s similar to the type fitted to the Peugeot/ Fiat then it’s not a difficult job. It only took me about 30 minutes. The difficult part will be lifting up the awning if on your own, I managed a 3.4 m one by putting the ladder in the middle and holding the awning on my arms. Not easy but it was the way I used to fix wooden gutter when I was 15.
Easier if you can get someone to give you a lift.
