What is the approx. diameter of the horizontal pipe that a modern Thule bike holder clamps to (i.e. the opposite end from the bike frame)? For example a Thule Elite or Sport.
I have a legacy Thule Omni-stor Lift wind-down bike carrier, with three-bike capacity. It appears that the default for these was two-bike. I have two bike holders and these fit bike 1 and 2. I can't find a bike holder (for this specific carrier) that is long enough to fit a third bike. I assume it was a special fit for my Burstner.
I'm thinking that I could use a modern Thule bike holder - but it depends how my horizontal pipe size compares. Mine is around 34mm diameter. This is the sort of holder I'm looking at (link)
Thanks!
