Threaded channel on the back of my Van? (1 Viewer)

I've searched to no avail ..... So what's it for?
I'm guessing some sort of storage awning gizmo?
I've no intention of using it, just being curious ....

Not sure which model you've got but they all have the channel on the back, it's not for an awning but just a standard part of their construction, you can see it on this one.

Threaded CHANNEL ... the big alloy strip across the back of the MH ... looks like an awning slot ...

You didn't look at the image I posted above then and read my posting about it ... it's the channel into which, if it was a caravan channel, you'd thread the piping for an awning etc ... not a screw thread.

Nothing clever about it at all just that I knew instantly what was meant.
