Bought 2 new reclining chairs to replace our 10 year old ones that were starting to show their age (bit like us! :giggle:) . These are super comfortable.

Today I take delivery of a Shark Lightweight Cordless 2-1 Pet Vacuum to replace, in the van, my old cordless Dyson.
It will be interesting how it compares because it was impulse buy off Martin Lewis's blog advertising £60 off.

I hope the snow which has instantly arrived and replaced the blazing sunshine of 5min ago, does not stop the noon delivery!
(what is going on with the weather, I NOW have blazing sunshine AND the snow???????)

Just bought a lagun table leg and new (custom) table top, see pic below, for the Hymer as well as motorcycle ramps for the garage and new tv bracket. Hopefully I’ll be fitting them all next weekend in time for an Easter getaway.

Last of the big spenders here 😃 ... I bought 6 pairs of scissors today, actually 2 packs of 3 from Lidl at €2.49 a set! Only needed a single large pair as we'd forgotten to put ours back in the MH after washing them up before coming away but couldn't resist a set for the MH and a set for home (different colours). 😄

As my Sat-Dish has decided it needs more exercise and just keeps orbiting around and around, I decided, after all the positive reports on here, to treat myself to a August DTA 240 Aerial. Ordered it yesterday, arrived this morning, plugged it into the home TV with superb results.

Thankyou all who recommended it!
I think I might even dig into my PB winning and get another! I'm easily led? )

A cheap collapsible electric kettle to save gas for when we are forced to pay for EHU on a site.

Just a word of caution if you have not had one before, the one I have will turn itself off when it's reached boiling point BUT if you don't turn the actual switch off and you have left it plugged in, some minutes later when the sensor has cooled down, it will turn itself on again!

It's caught me out a few times, once when the kettle was nearly empty. :cautious:

Yes, I noticed when I did a test run with it that it pings off the power but as you say, the switch stays in the "on" position.

A new battery for our Honda PCX125 which we tow on a trailer. Off to Spain on Wednesday so tested everything today and the battery had failed.

Not too upset as

A. It was 9 years old!
B. We found it before leaving home.

Now just looking forward to getting away for 6 weeks. Hopefully the poor weather in Spain will have cleared by then and we will see wall to wall sunshine.:wine:

I was given a present of a small solar panel that one sticks to the windscreen to keep the starter battery topped-up.

Great I thought, as there does not appear to be any permanent live cigarette lighter sockets, I will leave a permanent connection to the under bonnet slave connectors and just unplug the panel before starting the van.

I'm frustrated because, at first glance, without cutting or elongating holes in the under dash panel, the plan will not work!

I'll sleep on it and when the sun shines tomorrow, a solution may appear?

I will experiment with a beef stew tomorrow and the only real complaint I have so far is, having to bend down to read the instruction screen as the lettering is very small on the scroll down menu.

Shark WV200.
Suction is good for the size, only runs for 8mins but good enough for the van.
£75 from Lakeland , that included a 25% discount.
There is a newer Mk2 version but they are selling for £150 plus.

I wrote a week or so ago after I had bought the newer, more expensive model to replace my cordless Dyson and, at the time, I was not impressed BUT I having used it daily and I have come to appreciate it more.

The larger powered head seems to work well on the house carpets and while it has not got the greatest suck in the world, the boost facility, certainly helps as does the twin batteries.
I find the slim structure very versatile and should be helpful as a daily cleaner in the van.

PS. I wish the brush shown in the picture would fit the model I have because that is the one thing sadly lacking.
