64 tons? A cubic yard of concrete rubble weighs about 2 tons so that’s about 32 cubic yards, at 4” thick that’s about 8 yards per cube = 256 sq yards of patio, that’s about 18 yards by 14 yards, 54’ x 42’ that’s some patio!

Three large patios with surrounding walls, two shed bases, two greenhouse bases, paths, Koy ponds, a series of pagoda pillars and bases, concrete cover over old pipe runs, old cess pit, and up to 5 metre wide concrete pad around all four sides of the dwelling (two sides yet to be broken up and removed). I haven't even started to think about the concrete driveway covered with a disintegrating layer of tarmac.

Oh yes, thats some huge amount of concrete. If it wasn't for the lockdown and the neigbours being unable to leave the house and get away from the noise of a crusher running onsite, I would have sorted out my own hardcore supply, rather than paying to get it removed and then buying my own concrete back at a later date!

What do people do with there “equipment”? I love stuff like this, what’s the weirdest, most intricate or most useful thing etc you’ve ever made with your ”thing” or are you like me full of good intentions then get sidetracked cos you have the attention span of a gnat!

I bought 7 Mars bars
2 small packets of Maltesers
Several packs of salt and vinegar crisps
1 large bar of Aero
1 large bar of Cadbury's caramel chocolate.

I am disgusted with myself. :)

Add to that I don't know what half your tools are used for. :(

550 HP eh? Certainly bigger than mine!
Seriously though, I bought a WARCO similar lathe to yours many years ago, and it was OK. Then in 2005 I found this Austrian made EMCO Maximat V10P , which was £5000 odd when new in 1990! The milling head was then a mere £2050 extra. Then you add all the tooling...
As you say, it is nicely put together...

A guitalele, two bottles of rum, a sledge hammer, a tuner, a set of strings and an instruction book for said guitalele, some pyjamas for me (they look a bit small), an order of shampoos, medical stuff etc. from Savers on line, a Tesco food order, two egg cups that look like fried eggs, a shirt and shorts from Cotton Traders and a pair of Bluetooth headphones so Sue can listen to her audio books in peace.

When you get fed up of trying to play the guitalele I assume the sledge hammer is so you can smash it to pieces? :giggle:
