I am trying to replace the jet on my Dometic fridge....however the nut connecting to the jet assembly
will not undo.
I have tried WD40 and 3in1 and other such but to no avail
The nut, associated pipe and burner assembly are aluminium. I dare not apply too much pressure as
I am already in danger of damaging the said nut.
Any idea please of how i undo this???
Thanks

Heat is usually the best bet for most stuck nuts.

Not sure how you would do it in the guts of a fridge mind you...

It's not a left handed thread by any chance is it?

If so all your efforts would have been tightening it up

You may have to replace the burner unit .But first remove it, then have a go at the jet.i find it easier to remove the copper pipe at the furthest point away from the burner and take burner out with copper pipe attached .lol

If you can remove the assembly as a whole, as already suggested, then placing the nut against a hard surface, like a mash hammer, then tap it on the opposite face with another hammer a couple of times, basically 'sandwiching' it between them, that usually 'shocks' the seized threads apart.

Thanks for the replies so far.
Its not a left handed nut.....and I will try to get some heat into it.
The soldering iron seems a good idea... I will give it a try.
If not I will cut the pipe and try the other methods as above suggestions.

Not aware you need to cut any pipes .Both ends of the feed pipe to the burner are threaded so can be removed by a spanner.lol
