I have been in friendly correspondence with Peter Vaughan the editor of What Motorhome magazine regarding this months issue, which is devoted 100% to campervans. Not pvcs, no Motorhomes of any kind just campervans.
I feel that this is a specialist market and as he also edits a specialist campervan magazine the Motorhome mag (there is a clue in the name) is not the place for such information, at least not to the total exclusion of any reference to Motorhomes but of course he disagrees. There is no problem with reviewing the odd campervan, but if you subscribe to a Motorhome magazine then Motorhomes are what you expect to see inside the covers surely? What does everyone think? Is the average Motorhomer interested in campervans or are they a different kettle of fish? I know it's good to look at different things now and again, and some may even be tempted by their size and practicality as a second vehicle but am I right to assume that the average Motorhomer has little interest in them, or am I in the minority? After all, as I said to Peter What Car magazine don't devote whole issues to reviews of tractors.
