Ya think?I think in the original book the city / town was Gorky in the USSR. The book was was revised after the end of the cold war and Wuhan chosen. Not 100% sure but its maybe just a coincidence.
as Burgo said. In the first editions it was named after the Russian city where the chemical lab is. In the 1989 editions & onwards it was changed to Wuhan where the chinese lab is.I think in the original book the city / town was Gorky in the USSR. I'm pretty sure I have \ had it. Might have given it to local charity shop a couple of years back when clearing out a good few hundred books.Certainly spooky if true. Does any funster have a copy of this book? I’d love to see the paragraph for real, not just hearsay.
