Greetings,

Several months ago my eldest son raided my online CD collection.
On the desktop he put a folder of the CD's he had ripped and then lifted them and went home.

So a few days ago I went through the Desktop and saw the folder, discovered it was empty and put it in the recycle bin.
I emptied the recycle bin later that day but then discovered that the folder had resumed it's place on Desktop. This didn't occur immediately and since then I must have thrown away the Folder umpteen times but sooner or later it returns.

This is turning into my edition of Groundhog Day.

I appreciate there may be some glitch within my system but only yesterday I scanned the whole system, Some Trojans were found as was a virus but I disposed of all the nasties as per the Security system.

Anybody knows what is going on here and more importantly, got any solutions.

Hi Gorsty,,

That's what I do. Right Click, Delete. That sends it to the Recycle Bin. Click on Recycle Bin, Empty Recycle Bin and that's it gone, vanished, vamoosed.

THEN THE BL**DY THING POPS BACK ON MY DESKTOP!!!

Since 2005
find the source file and delete that.

The program may be set to place an icon on the desktop and just deleting the desktop icon wont delete the file.
