We are thinking of an awning for our Swift Kon-Tiki 625
Can anyone advise please -
Drive away or not?
Air awning?

When we are away we sometimes take the motorhome and go out for the day so I suppose a drive away is a good idea. But what are they like? Are they worth it?
Any advice and comments welcome.
Thanks

Cruiser,we bought a Vango drive away Galli II 18 months ago, we have a Swift Bessacarr 584, although we never drive away. Cost us about £700 with associated extras.

Link below is for the low galli III but gives you idea of how it looks. We like it, gives extra space and protection from rain, used it mostly when we have grandkids. It does however take up space during transit. Ours is erected using a pump, which is fine.
Outdoorworld were good especially after sales. Cheers Smudger55

Have resisted for so long now. SWMBO keeps on about getting an inflatable - spent far too long at the NEC looking at...

I keep coming up with same excuse that we really need to wait until we get the next van to make sure we have a good fit. Personally, rain or shine the canopy does what I need of it.

We wondered the same thing. Asking newbie questions to various dealers whilst we were looking for our MH, a couple of them suggested a tent was better than the vagaries of trying to park in exactly the same spot after going out for the day.

Only managed a very quick look at the NEC show at the Quest Screen House Pro 4 that seems to be often recommended on here, but we weren't sure if it was too big, and we have never seen one on a real pitch beside a MH, so still thinking... Like your avatar suggests, we also have one of those wind out sun canopies attached to out van, which might get in the way if also used?

I noticed your other thread with interest - did you ever get the chance to try one out, and if so how does it compare with the Quest?
Waiting for my boggy lawn to dry out a bit more before putting it up & having a play with the Cinch - will post photos & some feedback when we do. Initial impressions are good & for us the shape, size & weight are much more manageable to carry all the time in our van conversion than the Quest as that is longer than our garage so couldn't open the fridge door when carrying that!

Sounds like you also have clay soil :-(

Will be interested to hear your findings when you do get the chance. Our garage is all the way across the back of our coachbuilt, so we don't think the travelling size of the Quest would be a problem for us.

According to the website https://www.questleisure.com/products/shs/shpro the pack size for the Quest 4 is 173cm x 20cm x 25cm so should fit most full width garages on coachbuilts.

We bought a second hand driveaway,(9years ago) but ended up part exing the apache for an arapaho,so didnt need it ,it was an old fashioned type but didnt move much in the wind
