When I push the button on my thetford C200 cassett toilet the pump seams to pulsate when the water is pumped through, any ideals why this is?

air lock or you are running out of water.

We had a caravan that always did that without any detriment that we know of but our MoHo doesn't do it and flushes at a constant rate. Pressure/ micro switch setting perhaps?

Thanks Roger plenty of water new pump fitted last week!

I take it, it didn't pulsate with the old pump fitted, therefore with my Sherlock Holmes deerstalker on, the fault must lie with the new pump or the fitting thereof. Have you got the wires crossed making the pump run backwards, if it's the type of pump with the black rubber impellor, it may still pump in reverse but not as efficiently, could you swap the wires over and give it a quick try ?
