I'm a newbie
Hi I have a thetford toilet, I’m in France at the moment, after I flush the toilet the water keeps coming out the nozzle, I’ve had to turn the water pump off to stop it, which is not ideal as I need the water on for the sink and shower, any ideas what could cause this.

Sticking solenoid valve?

As above, find the valve and give it a rattle with a screwdriver or similar.

Could also be a faulty vacuum breaker.

The solenoid valve is an electrically operated valve. It is usually located just where the water jet squirts out into the toilet. It's not very difficult to replace, but not easy either, I think you can access it from the locker side after removing the cassette.

If it's a pressurised system and the solenoid is stuck open, you have to switch off the pump to stop the water flow. If it's a big problem getting it fixed, then you could isolate the branch of the pipe that goes to it. Remove the pipe and fit either a proper stop end of make one with a stick/pencil and some tape.

The cause could be frost cracking. It's common to forget to drain that bit of pipe for the winter. Don't ask how I know:-)
