The gas manifold has a tap for the Hob and one for the Oven/Grill.
Turning either tap "on" with the other "off" allows the matching appliance to work.
As soon as the other tap is turned on the working appliance flames are extinguished.
i.e you can't make toast and boil a kettle at the same time!
Yes, the hob lid is up.
Yes we are using propane, not butane.
Yes the ven operates low-high flame.
All three hob rings can be used together, with variable fame.

What could be wrong?

There is just the one manifold. And 3 rings work together on full flame.
These go out if the oven tap is opened.
WIth both taps open neither appliance will light.

Can we be clear that it is the opening of the tap at the manifold that causes the issue? Even if the appliance is off?

i.e. the gas hob is in use, the oven is turned off. You then open the isolator to the oven, and the hob goes off, even though the oven controls themselves are still off?

Will give the regulator a gentle bash with a small hammer in the morning.

Hob Working: oven isolator to 'on' extinguishes the hob.

That is very odd indeed. I'm somewhat at a loss. Perhaps there is some fault within the manifold itself, but it is hard to envisage what.

Regulator has been lightly shocked with a hammer (handle) - yellow isolator tap below it has been twiddled.
No change. It's still a case of toast in the grill but no boiling kettle at the same time.
Will have call upon the 12month hab warranty at the local dealership for a fix.

I wonder if it's to do with the gas pressure. Is your gas bottle turned on fully?

I have indeed checked the gas bottle knob is fully open and there's no kink in the pigtail either!
As the working appliance is extinguished when the 'other' gas tap is opened, I can't imagine it's a pressure problem and have to agree with cmcardle75 that the manifold seems to be defective. So I think I will wait and see what the dealership have to say.

Working now!
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.
The dealership suggested to open all the taps on the habitation gas manifold and that's fixed it.
All appliances now work simultaneously.
I cannot fathom why that worked but my dealer recommends leaving all gas taps open on the manifold and to just use the gas bottle's screw-down to allow or disallow gas into the habitation.
I can now boil a kettle for tea whilst making toast in the grill.
