Thetford grill

Hello everyone, my first post so be gentle with me. We have a Thetford triplex oven/grill, turned grill on this morning and it turned off when the door was closed. Oven works fine with door closed, is this normal? Cheers guys.

Door needs to be left open to use the grill so yes quite normal.

As above...The grill door has a microswitch behind it. When closed it shuts off the gas. Safety at all costs!
