Arrived back home the other day after a 100 mile trip to find out that the top external fridge vent & the back fly screen had gone. (They were then when we left the site, and didn't stop on the way home).
I suspect someone may have tampered with these whilst parked on site, it seems very odd that these should just fly off.
Anyway a new set are on the way ,the question is , do these have to be clip fixed and removable to service the fridge, or this time could I secure them with a strip of mastic ?:Confused:

Usually just held by the little turn buttons. Its sometimes useful to get access, though the bottom one is usually more useful. I am fitting a fridgeflow fan to my top vent so access is useful

You could always use a cable tie to lock the vent in place using part of the frame behind. Then when you neede d to remove, just cut the cable tie and renew when you refit

I've read of using a long self tapper through the edge to make it that much harder to steal.
