While driving it should, if it is a three-way unit, get power from the alternator.
Check that it is set on Auto, that the 12v switch is on for the van power. Then check if it works on mains and gas. If the fridge is cold on mains and gas, the unit is usually ok. The fridge works but is not getting 12v from the alternator or the 12v heater is not functioning.

Tried it on auto with engine running. It just flashes with red light. Had a look at 12v fuse box and noticed a missing fuse that looks like the fridge symbol

Try a fuse, but I wonder why it was removed in the first place?

So it looks like the 30amp fuse is missing going by that diagram?

That is one conclusion you could come to for sure, ours is a different van and different CBE but it has the 30 amp fuse in that position, and it works(y)

I will contact the dealer when I get back from Germany. I've been putting up with this for nearly 2 weeks

I would question as to why the fuse is missing, has it been forgotten or is there a problem with that circuit so the fuse has been left out ?

On our Frankia with Schaudt, that missing fuse was for allowing the fridge to function on 12v without the engine running (D+).

We installed a fuse because we had 4 x 110ah Batteries and 320w solar. So we could use the fridge on 12v for longer periods that usual.

Thanks for the info

I'll check with the dealer before I stick a 30amp in it. Don't want to make it any worse while I'm in the road.

And sorry I didn't mean to be so abrupt

Put a fuse in it!
It will either work or blow it.

Most likely the fuse was nicked when the van was on display and wasn't noted because of a crap PDI.
Both common occurrences.

Problem solved

If you look at my photo there is a 30amp fuse in a slot to the left. This is a dead slot and it looks like the fuse has been put in the wrong place

All working now. Wish I had checked that 2 weeks ago:giggle:
