Thetford Fridge Help

A pal of mine just popped round with his new camper. He cannot work out the fridge. He bought it last week on Gran Canaria last week and didn't speak the lingo.
Apparently there was a problem with the controller, so they sent him a new one, which he's fitted. But all he gets is a set of green flashing lights. These indicate 240v 12v and a gas symbol

Any ideas or tips to get started ?

You turn it on or off with the black button.If you then press and hold the grey button it goes to energy select.If you are not on mains then the plug symbol will flash.You can then press the right >button it will go through the 3 energy selections,mains,12 volt or gas.When you get to the one you want to select press the grey button again to select it.The display will then start to flash on the temperature selection bars.Again press the < or >to increase or decrease the set point.Prss the grey button again to select.

The instructions given before are correct but we then sometimes need to turn ours off and on again to get it to work. When you say nothing do you mean it doesnt get cols or the display goes off (it should apart from a very small green led on the black button) or no gas flame of what?

Not sure. He's gonna get his step daughter to call them. She's fluent.

Try the above advice with the fridge on hook up, select the "plug" symbol and 4 bars, leave it a good few hours then see if the fridge is getting colder. Repeat test with gas turned on and the "flame" symbol selected. Actually, when on gas you should hear the flame when you put your ear to the bottom vent if it is working.
