I have recently purchased a fresh up kit for my Thetford cassette toilet. Upon testing to se if it would fit into the MH it would not click in and after some research I found the C200 cassette comes in an old version and new version.

The new version is like this :-

I Contacted Thetford customer services to complain, the only answer I got was take the one out of
your old cassette and put it in the new one! Not very good service for something they say is an easy
freshen up. Other option is to purchase one £15 from a retailer. Has anyone else had this problem ?

I came across the same when I bought a (clean) second hand cassette. I bought the outside vent I needed which actually cost more than I paid for the cassette :)

I noticed at the NEC that fresh up kits on sale had the automatic vent fitted but assumed that they supplied two versions.

Update - Not satisfied with Thetfords responses so emailed their head office Holland/Belgium (I think its a .EU). They must have spoken to UK customer services and they responded favorably, stating these were only fitted to continental MH's our is a Rapido, and they are going to send us a new vent (keeping my fingers crossed).

What is that object in the first picture you posted? I have what appears to be a new one in the cassette compartment but I can't see anywhere where it might fit.

Not long enough!
Well that's weird, my old 1998 Auto-sleeper had the first i.e. New one, yet my newer 2002 Hymer has the second older one:cool:

Have you got a SOG ?

You remove this cassette breather to fit the SOG.

The picture is of the vent which is at the top and the left as you put in the toilet cassette in (C200 type)

Anyone know which model of cassette Autotrail fit in a 2014 Tracker please ????
I have a factory fitted SOG, but would like to buy a kit to renew a few bits and bobs.
Thanks in advance.
Mitch.
