Thetford cassette toilet instructions (1 Viewer)

We have a cassette toilet with a slide out blade type cassette seal.

Tomorrow we’re allowing some friends to use our MH for 2 nights (they are sleeping in it only to help out with a family situation, they will NOT have ignition keys and it will have a wheel clamp) due to SD I can’t show them how to use the toilet, I’ve looked on line and can’t find user instructions on the “actual act of using” only on how to empty and refill the system etc

Anyone have a link or manual I could share with them?

Try telling them this:

Open hole by sliding lever.
Lower clothing
Sit on seat.
Dump.
Wipe.
Clean bowl with brush or paper if necessary.
Close hole by sliding lever.
Raise clothing.
Wash hands.
Dry hands.

And do remember................

Put "how to use a thetford cassette toilet" in a YouTube search and see if you feel any would suit.

There are quite a few on there.

Don't forget to tell them how the taps work ... the first time my Mum used one in a previous MH she nearly ripped it out!

Sorry but surely they have enuf commen sense to figure it out on their own.. it's not rocket science. Its not as if you are asking them to empty it (or are you).

No, no money will change hands. It’s too allow 2 people seriously struggling with lock down separation to spend some much needed time together (albeit 2m apart)

Friend of ours did rip our wash basin tap off, expensive replacement-she paid!
The problem is people do not realise that everything in a Motorhome is a lighter construction than in a house and usually taps, etc. are plastic!

I’m embarrassed to say that video made me laugh. Talk about toilet humour! The best bit was very near the end where the “wazzock” (as Tony Capstick would have called him) asked her; “are you alright love?” The poor woman. And she’s probably on the minimum wage too.
