Any one know if they do a flush tank for this toilet. I have always used our fresh water tanks for everything ( shower drinking etc) and therefore do not want the toilet directly connected to that water supply, I don't regard it as healthy thats why we have toilet cisterns in houses creating an air gap to stop any water born disease being able to spread back through the water system

You would have thought Thetford had done some research before manufacturing these types of systems.

I don't know what sort of system you have in your motorhome but a flush tank isn't necessary to prevent disease spreading to fresh tank and that not the reason you house toilet has a cistern.
My Moho flush is from fresh tank and never considered it a risk.
Disease doesn't spread in that way.
What exactly are you concerned about ?

Since 2008 & many years tugging
95% of all Motorhome loos flush from the main tank, don't recall anyone dying from it.
There is a non-return valve inline and a solenoid that switches the water flow, so perfectly safe.

I think there is a non return valve to prevent any back flow, if that is what is worrying you.

Edit. @Lenny HB got there before me.

If you are that bothered disconnect the pipe and chuck a glass of water out of the basin down each time but I would have thought there is no risk

Oh no! Something else I need to worry about with my water supply. I've just told my wife she's already not looking very good today. What's the best treatment for a broken nose?

Prevention is always better than treatment engage brain (or run) before putting mouth in gear

Make sure you sterilise the glass afterwards in case of splash back or hand germs.:)

In a previous life I had the job of shortening the bowl flush pipes in dental spittoon's
We had a directive from some H&S department to stop the flow pipe being in the bowl rinse water. How dangerous that was in cross contamination - I'll never know
