This has been going on for weeks now, love it. The skys are totally free of cloud. The occasional aircraft stream is the only white in what is horizon to horizon deep blue. We are spending most of our time in the garden, not had an alcoholic drink for weeks and as brown as a berry and we are all getting on fantastically

How are you spending your time, have you taken to drink, fallen out with anyone or just chilling out like us.?

I'm not drinking that much more as I seem to be spilling most of it!

Well said! We’ve been so lucky to have had pretty much wall to wall sunshine for the last 8 weeks. It’s helped no end. Can’t say we’ve been as good as you with the drink though!

Agree. My job is harder and longer hours than before BUT I love working from home and am thankful we both still have jobs - at the moment.
We live in beautiful countryside, we have almost everything we need delivered, the weather has been good so we can sit out at lunchtime and ride the bikes after work. It has made toilet training the puppy easier .. and no one I know has caught the virus yet. So yes, lots to be thankful for!

I am in the process of ripping the old rotted roof off our garage and taking the chance to build the garage another 18" higher before putting a new roof on. We were just saying today that if the lockdown had not happened we'd have kept putting off and putting off the job in favour of trips in the MH.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who actually enjoys a lot of the lockdown "bonuses" - especially in this fabulous weather. I love the quieter roads when I bumble around the verdant, flower decked lanes of glorious Dorset on my little Honda 125, I don't dislike the greater degree of friendliness from most everybody, and I just love the greater degree of silence with no aeroplanes and less traffic noise. Downsides? Not being able to see my family, no MH travel and absolutely cr*p TV programming where they seem to be showing repeats of repeats all the time and the "chain gang shuffle" of the supermarket shop! Have a safe time everyone, and enjoy the upsides of this lifestyle disruption!

Lots of sun and booze, bit like going to Spain in fact. Only problem is the cheap Spanish wine purchased on our last trip in the autumn (40 cases) has just about gone and have started in on the more expensive French. If this goes on a few more months we might have to pay English prices :Eeek:

We have a garden [and it is looking better than normal- us and neighbours will hopefully be knee deep in home grown goodies in the harvest ] and have enjoyed the weather despite having to water the garden 2 x a day.;
Our nearest and dearest are all well. I have leant to Zoom.
Took the moho out to nearby car park on a walk route which we enjoyed- socially distant to others- Moho liked the run out...
Missing the grandchildren and their parents- sad about the several plans cancelled with friends/family for holidays/day trips/festivals- but the worst bit is not being able to plan for the future.
We do have a lot to be thankful for indeed tho- lucky to have had [so far ] no financial issues from the lockdown; I am trying to loose the stone I have put on so far [aargh] but not sure how drinking and eating more will help. I have tried many new recipes the freezer is full of curries and cakes...

Difficult not to feel helpless as we are unable to help the less fortunate- those in ill health and people who have lost loved ones. One day at a time , keeping positive; accepting there will be down days .

We’re also enjoying the sun and getting lots of jobs done which would otherwise have been put off even longer . Both on 80% so far and it’s like a practice run for retirement ( apart from the 80% bit ?) Luckily we are in good health so far . Still managing the drink , well I am , the Mrs isn’t allowed to.

The weather has certainly helped. I’m fitter than before due to walking further. Walked to the butchers today 11.5 miles round trip. Most of the maintenance jobs done. Trying not to drink much more than usual. Cars and motorbike cleaned. Still can’t bring myself to clean the motorhome until we can use it. Best suntan for years. Going to take the motorhome out up to Ribblehead tomorrow. I’ll have a walk up whernside. That might make me feel like cleaning it.

...and my heart is bleeding for you!!

We too are well tanned from sitting outside plus our almost daily seafront walks for exercise .
Paving has all been pressure washed , sanded and sealed and fence panels have also been pressure washed ready for a coat of stain
I still consume about the same in alcohol, a glass of wine with evening meal and a malt or G&T before bed.
Feeling quite fit with no weight gain but really want to roll those wheels.

Greedy bugger, the least you could do is share.

The wife got her sunlounger out for the garden, then Earlstown tip went on fire, 20 fire engines and massive dark cloud of smoke covered most of the Haydock and Wigan area.

You will have to be an early riser if you're looking to parkup, very busy today as I passed.

Nearly forgot to mention, I had no idea that my neighbor kept Bees. He has three hives from which he gets loads of Honey. He gave me a jar of his super honey. They say that if you eat honey from local bees it will cure your hay fever. My lovely lady suffers so we will see if it works. The taste is fantastic, he says this varies on what flowers are in bloom. I think we will become a regular for his honey.
What have you found out about your neighbors something that you didn't already know.?

I have had a great 8 weeks lockdown. Only been out 3 times. Fixed fences, built decks. Drank and eat loads. Missed the grandkids. Spent 5 hours in glorious sunshine today repairing next doors fence for free. He is 77 and disabled and I’m a spritely 61. Been having a great time, just need to be furloughed. ;)

Loving this time with my wife, well tanned , house jobs mostly all done, garden looks amazing, using our home gym and got back into my fitness training, getting used to not driving everywhere, eating healthy and enjoying life. Not had any booze since January, and look at life in a totally different way ? could get used to this ? might take early retirement as do not want to go back to work ?

They all have 50 screaming kids, they all shout at the top of their voices, their language is disgusting, they don't go to bed until midnight even the screaming kids.
I wish them that have jobs would go back to work.

They locked out neighbours neighbour up for anti social behaviour ?, the police have boarded his house up and not allowing him back for 3 months. He seemed to loose it over Easter and had a rave in his garden for 3 nights and 4 days on his own ? Didn't realize they can do that as he owns his flat. At the moment he is on bail with various crimes, burglary, indecent exposure, knife crime and they have offered alternative accommodation which he refused and we think he is living in the woods.?

I had the shielding letter and the phone call from NHS to make sure i am ok for food and help .
I told them i am ok and help some of the people who need the help .

I have been out only to get food etc and am isolating in my newly bought fifth wheel .
I have offered help to a lady on the site who is also isolating with shopping and just her having someone to talk to if she needs it but it seems she is doing ok, she has a tumour on her spine . She texts me now and again but at least she knows she is not alone here and i am here if she needs anything .

I need a place to pitch up longish term when this all dies down a bit , no point looking at the moment though.

Keep safe everyone (y)

My eating and sleeping habits have gone to pot. Staying up very late and sleeping in and eating far too much junk food putting on weight.

I comfort myself that when it all settles down and we get into a house I will clean up my act.

It does take some willpower to be virtuous but it is working for me :blusher:. I was up at 6am out for a walk had a bit of breakfast weltered the plants made some phone calls got some steak out of the freezer for tonight's dinner. Hang on I'm sounding more boring than virtuous. Anyway if you are happy doing your own thing, good for you.(y)
