After a last night out with our friends at Carinena,we checked the forecast and decided on heading north via the Somport tunnel. Stopped for a bite to eat just before Canfranc,SWMBO said it looks good and you always like going over the mountains,it was decided we would do the col. So here's a few pics,was quite a bit of snow as well but the road was clear. Thanks @Xabia for your earlier weather warning.

Thanks for that ,looks lovely. Hope to be up there around Christmas time.
I went over the col on the way back this year & it was well worth it. The only other time I have been over the top was in early July 2015 , when the tunnel shut due to rock fall. Never saw a thing ,including any vehicles coming the other way, as you couldn't see a hand in front of your face. Like fog from the 70's in London.

Glad it wasn't snowing when i did that run, we were meant to be going through the tunnel, but 'tom said' wouldn't have missed it but not sure i would want to to it in bad weather. See the tunnel is empty, we had a horse whch removed to budge blocking our way, really took it's time and gave us a right filthy look when it finally moved.
