Rally The White Horse @ Tattingstone

Hi, The White Horse @ Tattingstone is closing down later in August, hows about a meet there 15th 16th and 17th August, their last day of trading is the 23rd, they have a good selection of food and drink and there are long walks for doggies.

 

How sad is that. A nice pub with a campsite closing.

Hi Dude, look forward to meeting you. The pub is in a great spot and we have had a few good meets there, Andy the landlord is great, I hope he is going onto better things. Probably easiest to let Ray organise it as to use the rally field it needs to be booked as a club. Remember your bikes, great cycling around the reservoir and good walks too, there is a quiet end with a good walk around very nice for dawgs too. Our Izzy loves the place. See you soon. This site is just a couple of hundred metres from " Alton Water " a vast man-made lake.

It was created in the 1970s and 80s to supply drinking water to the people of South Suffolk.
This is a great place for dog walks, there is one about three miles long round the tail end of the lake right near the pub.
You can Cycle right round the rest of lake about 8.5 miles, watch the yachts sailing, see all the wildlife or just go for a walk, or even just relax and chat.

You can cycle to Jimmy's Farm its about 2 miles away. http://www.jimmysfarm.com/
And a bus stop outside the gate if you wanted to go into Ipswich.
